Description
Made up character for wheel of time rpg idea. she's is half wetlander and half Aiel. The character does not have Elf Ears but for my costume she does. :P
I love the wheel of time book series, I made up a character and character design concepts but never ended up playing the table top. Liked the design so much I decided to make it.
Only I added ears and the face paint for my own touch.
I love how this costume turned out. I thought that whole outfit had a appearance that expressed a reflex of the spiritual, heroic and adventurous side within my self.
The costume is velvet cotton vest quilted, with green & brown deer suede all around it. It held a symbolic and signature leaf on certain part of the costume like the pockets and the quiver.
Includes:
-brown tough yet smooth leather pants
-brown leather boots with suede wrapping
-white puffy shirt
-match vest and arm warmers
-my new Beautiful quiver my Friend helped me make. As I don't know as much about harder leathers and armor as he. he made the core for the case and we used his equipment. I made the suede casing, did the lacing, the design and learned quite a lot.
-black cape with fur hood outlining
-seven meadows archery leather bow
-belts, pouches, daggers, sword, little bits and pieces
-long elf ears (this is my own twist, there are no elves in WoT)
Redo:
The shirt things to be redone since it got a leather stain on it from the heat. Plus I found a deer skin leather caller and white silk don't wash well together. Plan to make 1) a "formal" silk white shirt that uses washable micro-suede for the caller and 2) a rough linen shirt with the deer skin caller from my last costume. Right now I'm using a normal off white chemise.
Things I want to add:
-calf warmers that match the vest and go over the boots.
-new cape! a thin wool, linen mix? more like a dirty dark gray with hints of green and brown mixed? sounds hard to find. maybe a dark patchwork suede. The clasp I want to look like the leaf design but heavy leather, buckle and studs.
Update:
Have a one of a kind fully functional Arming sword and stained wooden scabbard now. Have two different frogs for it. I plan to make a scabbard cover similar to how my quiver looks.
