Final Fantasy XIII

Ohhhh man....these costumes. Where to begin lol.

This costume was a big pain to wear (literally), but it turned out awesome. I had a week before the con to finish my costume after I finished finals, so it was a lot of nights of 4 hours of sleep (2 before the con lol). It was mainly finishing up the headpiece and sewing everything to my body suit. Thankfully, I was basically able to finish everything, but sadly I had to scrap some things because of time constraints. At least I was able to wear it for the masquerade.

This costume was made out of a lot of crazy stuff. My shoes were 8 inch clear plastic stripper shoes called pleaser XD. They made me 6'4'', so we towered over everyone. They had painted arizona cans attatched to it to make the exhaust pipes. My butt lifter was made out of gardening foam and maxi pads lol. There was also random things that looked cool that I found from Menard's that were stuck to random places throughout the costume. Mostly all of the raised designs were carefully made by puffy fabric paint or craft foam. Attention to detail was keen in the armor pieces.

The head pieces were very heavy. I could hardly lift mine, but if I stood still I could keep it rested on my back. My sister's was thinner though, so she was able to keep her head up at all times. Walking was also very slow. All I could think about was falling and snapping my ankles ><. Going to the bathroom was out of the question too lol.

All in all though, it was pretty successful. Heres the video of our walk-on. Dont make fun of how slow I am lol XD. My friend kept pushing my head piece over my eyes so I couldnt see where I was going.
