The shirt is made of a cotton top weight fabric. I decided to avoid using darts on the shirt to minimize the bustline, so the shirt has princess seams instead which I topstiched to give it a crisp look. I paid a lot of attention to cut on this outfit because it has a very specific look and tailoring it right was a the big concern for me. I wanted to give the sleeves the right amount of gathering at the top and make sure the collar was pointy in the same way as hers.
The skirt is a dark navy poly-blend. I had it half finished in my sewing bin for a year, so Iím happy to see it finished.
Not a lot to say about this costumeís construction because it was a very quick project. All together it was about 2 days of work. Itís very comfortable to wear, so I hope to take it to more conventions in the future.
