The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks

I can't resist a princess dress, and cel-shaded Zelda is just so cute!
The skirt I drafted myself, just 4 elongated trapezoids sewed to a waist band. The top is actually just a camisole, I considered making something, but the color was perfect and it looked nice and clean like the game art, so I went with it.
The belt is vinyl, and instead of just putting squares on it I made them pouches. They still look like squares, but they're actually functional, which is awesome. The circle is a tap light! Just painted gold.
The crown and chest pieces were new for me, I'd never worked with carving foam before. The smaller head pieces are all just craft foam.
The front panel on the skirt is felt, cut into the right shapes and stitched around by hand. The zig-zag on the skirt is grosgrain ribbon.
My favorite moment wearing this costume was definitely the first day of Animazement 2010. It was Friday afternoon so kids were just getting out of school. A school bus went by, and all these little kids crowded at the windows to see us haha. I gave them my best princess wave and they all waved back. It's awesome to wear costumes little kids recognize, they're so excited to see you!
