Kyoko Kirisaki

Post-Battle Kyoko

Black Cat (manga)

Last Updated: 09-23-2010

My first girl cosplay! Ha. The burned shirt look is adapted from the third volume of the manga after Charden and Kyoko go up against No. 2. I wanted to do this costume for a while, but I didn't want to be "just another schoolgirl." So, ta-da!

The skirt was dyed using iPoly, and when that failed, I bought a couple of fabric markers and just colored it in. XD The shirt was one of mine, sacrificed in the name of cosplay, carefully singed with a candle. It took a while to get the right amount of burning and smudges. It's 100% polyester, so light flame can give it a smoked look that can be retained even after washing.

The shoes I already owned and a pair of leg warmers completed the look. The wig is Hope from Amphigory in color #1B, with some minor trimming in the front and the bangs. I worried about black hair completely washing me out, but it turned out surprisingly well. ^_^

The popsicle was pineapple flavored, and delicious. The tubby kitty was Patches, my spoiled rotten pet who insisted on getting in all of my photos.
