Kingdom Hearts II

Wow, this was supposed to be a really simple cosplay. How epically wrong I was. Anyways, I think Olette is very pretty and cute, but I'm sad that she just didn't have much depth at all to her in the games and story.

The Shirt/// the most shocking thing is that the whole process of the shirt took 4 weeks. 4 weeks! This included dying the shirt orange three times for extra vibrancy. The black trim is painted on with black screenprint paint and touched up with permanent marker. Same thing with the white trim. The white flowers are 8 layers or screen print paint and regular fabric paint so that if/when the shirt streches, it doesn't do that crazy cracked thing. The lines of white lining the black trim were painted on by using masking tape and then peeling it off. Such a hassle! At least 12 hours between each coat and I couldn't do all the trim at once because I had the shirt on my floor. I bet there are more efficient ways of doing this, but ... Yeah.

The pants/// taken in capris found at goodwill. Added elastic at the bottoms to make them poof.

The socks/// dyed them with the shirt. Unfortunately I don't know how to shorten socks. I may make footless socks instead just for accuracy and convenience.

The Wig/// gaaahh. Her hair is so funny. I'm still working out kinks for her wig but otherwise I'm doing a more natural, more flippy-not spikey wig with zigzaggy long parts, instead of curls like many do.

The shoes/// made and remade and made again using sirenes tutorial. These things are chunky and uncomfortable, though accurate. I'm thinking about investing in a giant pair of crocks and painting them.

Accessories/// I have the bracelet, the trophy ball, the necklace, and some sea salt ice cream too! Perhaps a notebook that says "homework" on it.
