Off-World Woodland

Stargate SG-1

Last Updated: 04-16-2012

The bandana simply came from Wal-Mart. It was just one of their regular bandanas. Easy and cheap. I'm planning to get a woodland BDU cap just for the options. Also I look better in a cap than in the bandanna.

The jacket is one of many pieces that was given to me by my friend in the National Guard. It's screen accurate, which I squeed over when he gave it to me. I bought the velcro circles from SciFi Geeks. The circles are both olive green; one is 3.5" and the other is 4". The Stargate Project patch I bought on eBay. At Dragon*Con 2010, my wonderful hubby bought me the SG-13 Team patch. He knew I was going to redo my uniform and decided to get me a team patch. It's why I'm on SG-13.
My father-in-law was in the Air Force during Vietnam. Recently they decided to pass on his name strip and ranks to me with the understanding that they will be passed on to any children we might have. So I decided to sew one of the ranks onto the jacket in the same location as the 3" Air Force patches on the show. I know it's not screen accurate, but I really like it and it's an interesting conversation starter.

The black t-shirt I've had for a while. It's actually cut for females, so it hugs curves more than the usual t-shirt. The Woodland BDU trousers are another part that was given to my by my friend. Not much to say aside from the fact that they're so comfy! He also gave me a black BDU belt. I plan to replace it with the screen accurate OD green. Right now I'm wearing jungle boots, which are nothing like what they wear in the series. But they're what I have right now thanks to my friend.
