When I first watched Firefly, one of my first thoughts was, "Ooo I like Inara's dresses!" and of course, her love/hate relationship with Mal Reynolds was hilarious. When my boyfriend decided he wanted to be Mal and put a Firefly group together it was suggested I should be Inara and I readily agreed.I was working on so many things prior to Dragon*Con for both myself and others that I knew I didn't have time to make this one; plus I'd always wanted to have a real Indian sari/saree. Since Inara tends to wear sarees I decided to take the opportunity to get a real one and I don't regret it. It's completely covered in hand-beading and I LOVE it.
