NDK 2010 was my first chance to cosplay with my little boy! I wanted to make him something to wear that would be comfortable, and not too complex (since he's going to grow out of it in like 2 minutes @_@).

I had made myself a Navi costume that I was planning to wear to the con, and figured that Jathen would make an adorable Link! After the initial excitement of my idea wore off, I realized that I was going to have an awful time trying to wrangle my little boy while wearing a fairy costume (wings are challenging to wear anyway, and I didn't want to risk them being torn-apart by my freakishly-strong toddler). So I made myself a quick Kokiri costume, complete with a fairy.

Upon further reflection, I realized that there's no way I could convincingly cosplay as a Kokiri since they all appear to be under the age of 10. So my solution was to alter the Kokiri costume slightly, and pass myself off as Link's Mom ^_^.
