Yuki Cross/Yuuki Kurosu
Last Updated: 10-19-2010
There are a number of reasons why I retired original Yuki. The costume had grown far too large on me, and I had lost interest. I wasn't happy owning a bought cosplay, and I still remembered the burn in the skirt. So I retired it.
Some months later my friend announced he had cosplayed Kaname and was willing to do a photoshoot with me (aka fulfill fangirl dreams of mine).
So I had no choice. Except this time I made the cosplay, haha.
I'm not exactly enthralled at the design of the cosplay. The skirt was made easy, but the coat has some wearing issues compared to the shirt (which I, rather unfortunately, kept from the old cosplay). I used the cut pieces of my old coat, but trimmed to fit me better on the new one. The WHITE. RIBBON. Was one of the hardest things I've done and really tested my patience, but I am super happy with the result. The psuedo-diamonds are silver-spraypainted pieces of vinyl, and I hope to replace them with the actual diamond pieces later. What I do like about this coat, however, is that it is accurate (the folds on the sides are complete, the cuffs are ACTUALLY cuffs). I am satisfied, overall, haha. The wig I just had from another cosplay.
I look forward to wearing this again since it photographs well, haha!
