I found out 2 weeks before the party that I could actually go, so I think this is the fastest costume I have ever made, and perhaps bit off more than I could chew with it.

The dress is a modified tavern maid costume pattern (from Simplicity). The bodice is fully boned, the skirt is overlaid with organza, and the applique is done with double-sided interfacing. I love the fact that the pattern is so versatile for superhero costumes. I plan on using it for some Sailor Moon costumes in the future! I made a short red cape, since every superhero needs a red cape, and attached it to the the gold choker. The gold Gauntlets were lined with felt to solidify them, and laced up through the 32 grommet holes(My fingers were glad when THAT was done).
On a trip to Villages des Valeurs, I found the absolute perfect superhero boots, but only ankle high, so I lengthened them using my stretchy liquid metal gold fabric and Sarcasm-hime's tutorial for making boots. Note to anyone using liquid metal fabric: It sews HORRIBLY. You will get frustrated with it - many times. You'll need A LOT of patience to complete you costume. I hate it and will avoid it at all cost in future cosplays.

My head piece and armor above the bust("boob wings") were done with adhesive craft foam cut in layers(to replicate the 3D effect of the wings) and stuck together. They are painted with 3 coats of gold craft paint and hot-glued in place. Craft foam is porous and fabric is fibrous - the two are THE BEST surfaces to stick together with hot glue. You can also sew through a layer or 2 of craft foam on a sewing machine quite easily.

I wish I had more time to make a better sword, but it was done in a few hours the night before the party, and really, I'm just glad I had an awesome sword at all! If anything, that will be the first part I remake of this cosplay. I'm pretty happy with the rest.

And I do believe that 2 weeks is REALLY not enough time to complete a costume, hold down a full-time job, and stay healthy. Nope.

Kids, don't try this at home.
