Graham

Shamanic Princess

Graham.. is one of the characters I always wanted to dress as. In 2008 I tried to cosplay him but for some reason I didin't.
But today (November the 8th) I started to make his mask from papier mache. I got this huge insipration after I bought a book called Papier Mache - Over 50 projects illustrated in colors - from a library.
I will definitely do this cosplay for next year!

Mask: 95%
The mask is made of papire mache (rly?). I made it straight to my face ;D. It doesn't have many layers (from 4-6). I attached it to a hairband with masking tape. Then I used some gold spray but it didin't work the way I wanted so I used some gold paint.

I used some modelling clay to make a holder for the jewel. The jewel I had was a transparent so I painted the bottom of the holder with red water color. After that I put the jewel to the holder and added a little clay so the jewel will stay in its place. Then I painted the holder.

Then it was time to draw the face. So I just used a dark brown copic, white paint and a little water-based gloss varnish (to make the 'eyeball' shine). Now I just have to make the iris and the pupil.
