I fell into the thrall. I couldn’t help it.
The base coat of the costume is based off of a jacket I bought a long time ago. It seemed to fit the character I was trying to create. I see her as royalty, refined yet unconstrained.
The horn is made of model magic, and the ears are two pieces of felt. They ears were sewn onto a headband, and the horn was glued onto a cut of end of another headband, which was then glued to the main headband (confused yet?)
The jacket and pants are made form the same material, some oddball material from walmart. It has a neat texture and that's why I used it, nevermind that it was only $3 a yard.
Like I said before, the jacket pattern was taken from another jacket. It was then modified to have a more exaggerated front, and was lined in the "reversed double" style (no idea what that's called, sorry). There's some interfacing in the front and collar.
The pants also have the reversed double lining, though it's muslin, not the same oddball material.
The paint is acyrilic with a fabric medium. It needs another layer, so I haven't sealed it yet. Thank goodness it didn't rain the days I wore this outfit.
