K, I know this is an odd costume idea, but John Denver and I go way back.
I remember watching a commercial for one of his Greatest Hits albums when I was, like, four, and I immediately just fell in love with his music. Later, after I relocated from the country (we're talking cows in my yard) to the fourth-largest city in the U.S., I have a new-found appreciation for his music. Plus, I did a little reading about him and found out that he was a SECRET BADASS.
And, well, mimicry is the highest form of flattery.
RIP, John Denver. We totally would have been bros if you were alive. :(
The Kermit is actually my mother's. It's a 1975 velcro Kermit toy that I pretty much attached to myself for some of the shots.
The jacket is actually a thrift store find from the mountains in New Mexico. It, of course, had to be altered HARDCORE.
The shirt is from a vintage shop in Austin.
Those are my bootcut jeans.
The shoes, the fabulous shoes, are mine as well. THEY'RE HEELED HIKING BOOTS! XD
The glasses were donated to my optometrist by a little old woman, and I picked them up and had them fitted for me. They're PERFECT.
The guitar is my boyfriend's and the wig was ordered from Ebay.
All shots were done on my property. :D
