Alice in Wonderland
Last Updated: 01-07-2011
This was my version of Alice from Lewis Carol's "Alice in Wonderland.".
However the design and details I put into it were inspired from the book, Disney, Burton, and McGee's versions of Alice. And I of course threw in my little ideas but yeah, this is just a original concept. I wanted my Alice to not be a child completely nor a adult, she is just a young teenager maybe even pre-teen.
In my version as well she carries a pocket compass [Yes pocket compasses do exist, and yes, they look like pocket watches.] and attached to her compass is a tiny white rabbit charm. So in a sense she followed the White rabbit around, when in fact because everything in wonderland in so obscure her pocket compass wasn't just really working as well as it should have.
I will say, making this outfit itself was a adventure! It was the first time I made gloves, and I used no pattern, and it was made with lace ribbon.
The dress was made with simple dress pattern that I altered to make it look more 'doll' like.
The petite coat and bloomers were just made with no pattern, if you guys have questions just message~!
The little white rabbit charm was made with a white knit fabric and was completely hand sewn since it is tiny and was stuffed with soft squishy pillow stuffing.
Uh..So yeah..er. Just ask questions if you have any. Hahah sorry I kind of suck at this.
P.S.: A Lot of Lace was used......a lot...x x
