Final Fantasy IX

This costume was one of the hardest tasks I've ever taken as a cosplayer. There were two enormous problems: one was my face, which definitely (and luckily :P) does not look like Steiner's at all; the other was my body, because I'm very slim and even thought Steiner has very thin arms and legs, his super-deformed figure is large and, actually, impossible to replicate perfectly.
So, I worked with foam and latex to make the armor extremely large, using the same techniques I learned working on Alphonse Elric three years ago. With this materials, the armor grew up good-looking and, especially, very very light-weighted.
For the face, I decided to commission a mask to a professionist maker, and the result I liked very much.
So, some particular, small parts of the armor are not as good as I wanted them, a few things are missing and the final outcome of the outfit didn't satisfy me completely, but considering that I had less than a month to make it, it's a nice piece of work. Hope you like these photos, too! And please, if you want, leave me comments on this particular costume, because it's a bit strange and it would be nice to heare more opinions ^.^
