My first ball gown. It was a joy and a pain to make. There are so many mistakes wrapped in it, but I love it the same. I will never forget the joy I received when I finally completed it. This is the dress that sparked my love for fancy, pretty dresses.
The dress is make from a satin type material with a batiste lining. I used the Simplicity Regency gown pattern for the dress and followed the pattern to the t, but sadly I used to wrong size so the fit is rather tight and uncomfortable in the sleeves. I retired the dress due to that reason but will be making a new one to take it's place.

I have not entered this dress in a competition yet, but I received a lot of nice comments at the ball.
