Musician S. J. Tucker wrote a series of songs about Wendy, from Peter Pan, and what would have happened if she decided to be a pirate. Wendy recruits girls and establishes the Lost Girls Pirate Academy. (They have a tourney with the Lost Boys each Saturday.)
Seanan McGuire, Campbell Award-winning author, wrote a story that references Neverland and the lost boys and girls. I am one of the lost girls in the story, named Tore the Bold.

This costume is designed to be a storybook pirate. The baldric was custom-made by Bansai8 Creations, featuring the emblem of the Lost Girls Pirate Academy and my name. The sword is my authentic rapier, for renaissance Italian-style fencing.
