I've been wanting to do a Pokémon gijinka costume for awhile now, and thought that Voltorb would be a good one to start with. This is my own design, and it was an easy costume to put together. The most challenging aspect was getting the placement of the eyes correct. I wanted them to be just beneath my chest so that the eyelids would have a 3-dimensional look (similar to the official Voltorb art) ^_-.

While I was walking around the con several people called out: "It's Voltorb! Don't make her mad or she'll self-destruct!"

Thankfully everyone I met that day was very nice to me ^_^.
