Elizabethan Era Gown

Elanor Di Toledo

Last Updated: 09-25-2012

This is a Florentine gown that originated during the 1540's (if memory serves me - I might be a little off, but during what was considered the "Elizabethan" era). The dress itself is based off of two different gowns worn by Elanor Di Toldeo.

The fabric is a wine on wine brocade trimmed with black velvet, antique gold, and pearls. Under the gown are period accurate underpinnings. I did fudge a little and put stays in the bodice, rather than making a pair of bodies for under it due to lack of time.
