I love everything about this character: his design, his personality, and especially his interactions with Kanako. I've wanted to cosplay him since I first saw the show, and decided to make it happen for Anime Boston. This is the fastest I've ever completed a costume: it took a total of three days of solid work to pull this off.
The whole thing is cotton broadcloth in different colors, except for the bow, which was a fabric remnant of some sort (like a magical blend of heavy satin and poplin). I made the skirt without a pattern, and modified the same pattern twice for the shirt and vest. The wig is from Epic Cosplay, as usual :)
I wore this on Sunday at Anime Boston 2011, and though I wasn't recognized by many people, the few who did were really nice fans, and they totally made my day. We wanted to do a shoot at Anime Boston, but the windy weather made it impossible to be outside (what with the wig). I'm hoping to do a shoot sometime soon, though.
I also started Mariya's rosary, which is about halfway done. I hope to have it finished by the time I take the next round of photos for this costume.
