I was talked into doing this cosplay by my boyfriend, but once I got the idea in my head, I totally ran with it. This cosplay is perhaps now one of my favorites just because of the sheer epicness of it all. xD I purchased fangs from Rose's Costumes. The clothes came from an Army Surplus store near my university, and the skirt was originally a pair of men's trousers that I cut and hemmed into the mini-skirt.
Now, the gun was the fun part. I knew I wanted it to be massive, as it should be, and I was struggling with what to use for materials. Everyone kept telling me that PVC would be too heavy, but when I went to Home Depot and checked it out, it was just right, so I got it cut into two pieces so that I could transport it easily. I do believe the gun measures close to 6 1/2 feet tall, give or take a few inches. A lot of time and effort went into it and it's still not quite where I want it to be.
I plan to repaint it, add white lettering, and repair some of the added bits because they were put on in haste the night before AggieCon due to a time crunch and midterms and suffered some serious damage. xD
Boots were bought ages ago at an Army Surplus store in Dallas, and while I know she's meant to have brown boots/gloves, I couldn't do it, fashionably, with a black belt. Maybe for A-Kon. xD
AggieCon 42: I was runner-up to Queen of the Con, but some random guy from the audience decided that stripping was his talent and, well, I wasn't about to match that.
