Oh my god, this costume. It was SO much fun. I simply fell in love with this band, and their costume sets just BEG to be cosplayed. When some friends and I decided to try for a group cosplay of it, I was assigned to MASATO. I got really creative with this costume, and was very pleased with the way it came out. I won't describe everything, but I'll note things I like most about it.

-CROTCH POCKET! This was by far my favorite part. It's so silly. I felt like a kangaroo. Since I just could not find any orange windbreaker-like fabric in stores and didn't trust buying fabric online yet, I ended up using an orange Adidas windbreaker, LOL. I demolished the thing. I decided to cheat and use the elastic part of the sleeve cuff to make the front of the crotch pocket, and it worked perfectly.

-For the tubes in the hair, since I couldn't find them in colors, I took clear plastic tubing from the plumbing section of Home Depot and first spray painted the inside. I waited until the paint dried and then stuck pipe cleaners of the matching colors inside them to fill in the spots the paint didn't reach. I love it because you really can't tell. They just look like red and white tubes. The string in the hair is just lots of plastic string (I think you can get it from the beading section of craft stores, if I remember right) tied into the wig. The wig itself was recycled from my Kyo costume.

If you're wondering if the shoes are accurate - yes, sadly, that is exactly what he wore: brown shoes with lime green laces. Classy.

Gah, I miss this costume so much! I had planned to wear it one more time, but it ended up getting thrown away when my mom went through my closet in my old bedroom. :(
