This was a combination video game cosplay and historical re-enactor project. My husband and I researched these uniforms for months before making them. Pretty much everything is homemade including our hats. The unit patch I'm wearing I hand embroidered based on a design drawn by kdthompson.
I could go on and on about the tiny researched details on this project, but I'd probably bore you. I made my own WAC underwear after getting pictures of the real thing from the Women's Army Museum in Fort Lee, Virginia. The stockings are real vintage rayons with a seam up the back. The lapel pins are homemade from clay. The hat pin is an authentic WW2-era WAC hat pin.
