Legend of the Seeker

My sister was dead set on making this costume perfect, and with the small amount of time we had, I think we at least made the outside look ok :P
I didn't make the whole thing. My sister dyed and carved the belt herself and my father did all the metal work you see. As for the corset, jacket and skirt, that was me and boy was it new. The detail was the biggest part. There is lacing EVERYWHERE. It's on the sides of the skirt, front of the jacket, sides of the jacket, down the sleeves, and up the back of the jacket. It was easy, but tedious work and took a lot of time. The hood was a challenge, too. At first I made it too big and freaked out a little since Comicon was nearing so quickly and I had a lot of stuff to do for my booth. In the end, I took apart the lining and fixed the hood to make it more manageable. The leather for the corset was incredibly frustrating to work with, as well. It was soft and my machine didn't seem to want to pick it up. PLUS the cups are a different material with tucks in it. The straps are not added yet since I didn't have the time, but since it was hidden beneath the jacket, I decided to put it off for a while so I could do a good job.
Overall, this was a learning experience. Hope to perfect my skill in the future! :)
PS: The model is my sister, Jessica
