I made this costume not so much because of fandom for the Hetalia series, but for the fact that I am near 100% pure German and very proud of my heritage. When I saw the series, I found it amusing.

For the costume, I worked with Ludwig's design from the series, then added many of my own touches to the cosplay, such as a the flag, the ropes on the jacket, and the hat.

This was immensely popular at AnimeNext and I'm glad! I was proud to represent the country I came from.
