The Legend of Zelda: The WindWaker

Last Updated: 07-09-2012

Now I know why lots of people choose Tetra for their first cosplay experiences. Tetra is my favorite video game character ever! I am a lot like her; short, tanned skin, I even have tiny feet! (I wear a size 2 in converse, no joke)

The only parts I really did was the entire sheath, cutting the fabrics, and my elf ears. (Which were covered by the huge wig) The rest was sewn by my dad, who promised to teach me to sew soon. I styled the wig too, but my dad wouldn't let me do her swirly bun.

Speaking of the wig, true story. Don't buy a eBay wig! I got a really nice looking one, that didn't even fit my large head and had a ton of bald spots by the time I styled it. I ended up going to the convention without it, and I felt so ignored. So many cosplays with gorgeous wigs, and I was using my poor excuse of hair. But I found a huge Arda stand in the Dealer's room! And the one of the ladies there recognized me, and picked out a good wig for me. She even put it on and styled it for me! And then commenced people asking for photos and hugs C:

All the photos were taken in my backyard the next day by my dad, by the way. It was freezing outside at AWA, and I couldn't pose for any pictures without clinging to my jacket. o3o And I swear I tried to make my eyebrows blond, it turned into a complete mess. I wish it didn't, it would have made the cosplay more realistic :U

Other than that, I love this cosplay. If I had a chance to wear it again, I would! I can't wait to make another costume <3
P.S: The icon was totally super-edited.
