I am continuing with my tradition of at least doing one Pokemon cosplay at every con I go to ^_^
I choose to cosplay Casey for a few reasons (mostly it was just a big coincidence on my brother's part that I even remembered her-yay for re-runs of the Johto season!).
1) It was an easy cosplay. Took less than a day to put together and under $10
2) I cannot find a single Casey cosplayer [why have you failed me, Google Images? T_T] so I figured I could do her =D
3) I needed to use my purple wig for something >_>

Bought white shorts and an oversized men's yellow T-shirt. Cut the T-shirt up the front and sewed the black collar/trim stuff around it so it wouldn't frey. Then I painted the stripes. Mixed regular black paint with some stuff that makes paint attach to fabric and not wash out. Figured out where I wanted to put the stripes and used blue painter's tape to get the nice clean edges you see. Used the same method for the shorts. Painted, let dry, repeat on sleeves.
The megaphone was borrowed from my little brother, the two larger black stripes painted near the end with a shoe lace hot-glued to the top and tied around my neck.
Bought a white hat, painted the brim black as well as the stripes, then uesd Heat 'n' Bond to get the lightning bolt in place.
Pokeball was painted a year a half ago and the Pichu plush was bought at Target.
