This is a costume I love, because I feared and loved Kodachi and her madness for a while in my childhood and then I forgot everything about her. One day my best friend (and fellow cosplay sufferer lol) made me remember all the Ranma ½ show and I said→let’s cosplay. It was a trauma, watching the anime to see Kodachi again, because seeing her made me understand a lot of things about myself now.
This has been my first “cosplay group”! We were an nearly-epic Ranma ½ group although we were missing Shampoo, Moose and Happosai. Lots of people made us stay in looong poses to take photographs and we loved it XD Though we haven’t won any award (we hoped in the one for funny things XD) it was an awesome day and i ended up repeating that we have already won, that i loved us and other sweetnesses about our friendship XD
The leotard was quite simple, i just had to buy a green leotard (and I didn’t find the right Green…grr) and sew black stripes where it was needed.
But in a damned moment of my already-difficult life i decided to make her kimono, that can be seen more or less in 4 episodes :|.
This could have been more simple, I suppose, because wanting to make more an occidental dress than a simple, shapeless kimono makes the work harder (I’m a new by the sewing machine)
But the hardest things has not been this unfortunate try neither sewing the long sleeves - that I simply adore. The hardest thing happened when the color for fabric missed. It was too late to buy another can of color because shops were closed and i… no, i don’t want to talk about my try to paint it with oil painting, NO. I can just conclude saying that nail lacquer saved me and redouced my kimono a toxic thing that, however, i wore.
The first wig is the result of a long research on ebay. I love its retro style and it is a perfect item for kodachi ’80 haircut.
The second wig is instead a result of work: it was an horrible fancy shiny wig and I customized it as a ponytail with right shape combing, spraying black thing used to color hair, glueing the hair clip…clogging my daddy’s adorable little hoover.
Shoes were more confortable than i expected→ very good.
The obi was the coolest thing: simple and perfect.
I lost a lot of black petals lol.
