This costume was truly a labor of love, as any Doflamingo cosplayer will tell you. I made this to go with Hazard8726's Marineford Crocodile costume for Otakon 2011.
Without question, the coat is the most eye-catching part of this costume. It is 20 6' pink feather boas, all hand stitched to a shell (which was made of pink knit fabric). It wasn't particularly difficult to do, but it was incredibly time-consuming and exceptionally messy. We are still finding bits of pink feathers around the house.
The rest of the costume was more difficult. The shirt and pants are both sateen, though the pant fabric was originally white. I used Rit brand fabric dye to color the pants, then white fabric paint for the squiggles. The pink squiggles on the shirt are also fabric paint.
The wig is from Epic Cosplay and is one of the short "boy-cut" ones. My shoes are thrift store loafers and are blister machines.
The thing I am most unhappy about with this costume is the pair of sunglasses. While I was able to make frames that matched his, it was impossible to find orange lenses. After several failed attempts to paint lenses, I ended up buying these. They worked out well enough, but in the future, I'd like to replace them with something more accurate.
