The Thief/ Faustina Collari
Last Updated: 05-19-2012
This is my cosplay of the Thief from Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood. My sister cosplayed with me as the Courtesan.
Wore this to Otakon, and on Saturday of NYCC this year, with my sister. We also had a private shoot the day before Halloween with a huge group of friends, which was just EPIC.
I was actually extremely unhappy with my wig, but I figured it was time to post some photos. I REALLY hated the wig though...I thought it's too light and makes me look washed out, and makes my face look bigger than it really is. -cries-
Thankfully I finally got a new one at NYCC. You can see it in a few of the newer photos now.
I want to thank Naxul for all her help in explaining to me how to burn the white fabric to get that ripped, dirty, worn looking feel. It would have been hard to do without her guidance, and then, not only would I have looked terrible, but then my costume would have too.
Did not enjoy making this shirt. Faustina has these huge hips and a tiny waist, and while my body type was decently close enough to the character's, I had a hell of a time taking it in after sewing up the shirt- originally when I sewed it, the waistline hung way too big on me, didn't accentuate any curves, and made me look like a 400 pound woman wearing a blue and brown bag. The fit is better now but...it should still be tighter in the waist. I'm not gonna play around with it anymore, and possibly destroy it though, it is what it is.
Oh, and yeah my blue fabric has small diamond shapes instead of large. This fabric felt more authentic, and I did find a blue fabric with large white diamonds, but it was thin, poor quality, and a little too lightly colored. I loved this fabric and figured, well..it's not exact, but it looks and feels good, and is fabric like they would have worn in the 1400s.
