Willow - Once More, With Feeling
Buffy the Vampire Slayer

There's probably an easier way to make this costume. I didn't do it that way.
I modified my favorite New Look 6557 dress pattern (read: changed everything from the bust up). It should be a robe-style dress, but since we were re-enacting the musical and I had to do a quick change with my wig already on, I opted for step in and zipper.
The fabric is a sheer peach layered over lilac, which combine to give that off-pink color. It made it difficult to add detail to the skirt, but I'm still happy with it overall.
I use bias tape, lace, and thread embroidery to get the pattern, then hand-beaded for glitter and accents.
I use the same brown lace to line the top of a white tank top underneath.
The wig was described as "Lady gaga medium red straight..." It was a little small for my head, but I couldn't find one in the states for under $25.
All told, under $80 from top to bottom (including shoes, slip, camisole, fabric, beads, zipper, trim, and wig).
