This costume really did come up pretty randomly awhile ago. I was sorting through some old manga and what not and came across this series. Instantly, I fell in love with the characters and the innocence of it (well mostly)

Wig and boots I already had before deciding to make the costume-which was a huge bonus

Skirt was made of a real nice silk like material ( I can't remember what it was called now) and it gathered real nicely. It took me 3 tries to find the right shade and fabric (artwork was not consistent) then i found the right fabric and decided to dye it to get the right shade of blue. That was fun! haha

The skirt cape was made of a blue sateen and bridal satin (the white satin was leftover from my sakura wedding dress) which I lined with gold bias tape after.

All white accessories were interfaced like mad and then had resin jewels attached to them. Working with the resin was a lot of fun no doubt.

Belt closures were remade to lace up instead of velcro shut...(horrible times!) it helped the belt stay put and tight.

knee pads were made of foam and resin. Attached by a huge clip on the boot with clear elastic

Socks were remade. First I had those American Apparel socks that i died blue..but they just didn't look right. Then I used the sane fabric as my skirt and it worked out much better (:
