My second version of Rapunzel, which I love so much!
The bodice is a lot more accurate with the proper seam lines this time, as well as the correct back. It's made out of a beautiful silk that I found. Thanks a million to my roommate who went to fashion school for helping me to alter the pattern to be perfect. Once again, all the details took the longest on that.
The skirt is completely hand embroidered. I decided that with this costume I definitely wanted embroidery, and since I don't have an embroidery machine, I had to do it by hand. It took a few weeks working for a few hours a day. I don't know the exact amount of time, but it was the most time intensive part of the costume.
The wig is the third version that I've done, and my favorite by far. It's based off of the park wig and is 3 separate pieces that are connected. It involves one long wig, one pack of extensions, and 6 4 foot long falls. It is all hair, with no stuffing, but it's not too heavy. All of the wig materials were purchased from Arda.
