Two of my friends (Scruffy Rebel and Soyo) planned on cosplaying from Gankutsuou after we had watched the series in our anime club. I was asked if I wanted to be Valentine! (Well, casted as her. XD) I like her outfits, and she is a nice character so I agreed. ^_^;
In the end, we had a huge awesome Ganku group and debuted the costumes at Fanime 2006!
It was very cool!

I am generally happy with it, except that the back end of the dress poofs out oddly, and putting in an invisible zipper without a zipper foot is HARD. (I do not advise it. XD)
Luckily, I found fabrics that worked for Valentine's first dress. (Ref: http://www.gankutsuou.com/world/character/images/character12_body01.gif)

For the top, the fabric is actually inside out. I found it on the bolt like that, and it worked perfectly for the top! The dress itself is layered, to add the grey-silvery affect of her dress.

This was the second costume I managed to sew everything by myself. (With help from friends, of course!)
The wig is a Natalie XL, in HB 33/130. Ami Yuy helped style the "chunky bangs" an hour before our first photoshoot. XD It is a really pretty wig though, and I am pleased with the color.
