Final Fantasy IV

OMIGOSH THIS COSPLAY *LAUGH CRY AND DIES!* This cosplay was a funny joke!~ I never ever ever ever ever ever EVER thought I'd EVER cosplay Cid Pollendina from Final Fantasy IV. I mean, he's not what you call 'pretty' or 'handsome' and doesn't really have much detail on him, no beads, no shiny things, no tassels, no random snake popping out of his head, etc... But really, who cares if his appearance ain't that fancy?! CID IS AWESOME AND I LOVE HIM!
The reason I got into cosplaying him was from a random conversation with my friend Otaku4evr and I. We were both saying how much we both like Cid and then realized that this hilarious character doesn't have any cosplay love whatsoever. So I 'jokingly' laughed and said that, "Hey, maybe you and I should cosplay him and give him some more cosplay love in the world." And she agreed. and JUMPING CHOCOBOS I didn't realize that she was completely serious!! 8O Within a couple of weeks she had ALREADY made a Cid cosplay from the DS version of FF IV!!! She knocked my socks off. Then she asked, "So when will you finish your Cid?" :3 And I knew I had to do mine!
So my Cid cosplay is based on the SNES as well as the Amano artwork of him, since I played FF IV (FFII) on the SNES. The cosplay was easy to make.
I cut up an old shirt that I bought for $4 and made it all Cid like.
The pants I just used my own pants that I had.
Bought red gloves for $4.
Made the belt from scrap material that I had.
The helmet I bought for $4 at walmart (lol why is everything $4 on this cosplay??) and I sealed painted it, and used cardboard to make the things he has on the side of his helmet.
The face, (LOL MY FAVORITE PART!) I bought a cheapo wig for $6 and cut it up to make the beard. And I bought a fake nose for $1 to add to the looks, and made the glasses mostly from cardboard and posterboard. :)
I LOVE THIS COSPLAY SO MUCH! And I love Cid, he needs more love out there. Thanks to my friend for getting me into cosplaying this guy. ;) Cosplaying him is a lot more fun than you think!
