So Yui was coming down for Archon, and I needed a costume. I really have to stop making things last minute.
After I took stock of what I had, I knew I was in serious need of something completely new. Under the impression that she was bringing the dark and forboding Lloyd from Legend of Dragoon, I tried to create something inescapably light in nature. Reviving the old Balmung armor, I cut it out once more of pristine polystyrene. Bought drapery fabric for my vest and cuffs, real silk for the flowies, and upwards of 50 dollars in ribbons and fur and trim for the cape. This has GOT to be my most expensive costume to date. x-x But at least it was beautiful.
