Gijinka Teddiursa

After seeing this adorable image on the internet: ( http://images.wikia.com/pokeespectaculos/es/images/b/bd/Gijinka_teddiursa.jpg ) I just KNEW I had to cosplay it. After a while of searching for the correct type of pattern, I made the shirt out of 5 yards of brown flannel. Extending the pattern 3 extra feet in a way that would flare outwards was not entirely easy, but once I had it, it was simple as pie from there. The collar was made of a separate beige flannel, less than 1 yard of fabric. The moon was cut from a wooden circle with an X-Acto Knife, coated in 3 layers of white acrylic paint, and attached with 2 small alligator clips. The wig is actually a Z Bob and 2 Hair clips from Amphigory.com, and the clips were trimmed to the desired length. The plush was made out of extra flannel and fleece-felt. The pattern was not pre-existing, but having experience in plush making made it easy.

Photos were taken by Andrew Wong, Ron Gejon, and Gerardo Flores.
