Perfect Blue

Last Updated: 05-12-2013

Perfect Blue was one of the first anime movies I watched and I've had CHAM!'s song "Ai No Tenshi" on my ipod for many years now. Ria had been planning to cosplay Mima for a while and I was happy to join her and help make up the rest of CHAM!

To go with:

gaming_goddess as Mima
Frederica_la_Noir as Rei.

"Yukiko is a co-singer of Mima in CHAM! along with Rei, and stayed in the group for three years. When Mima has her last performance, Yukiko annouces Mima's departure because Mima was too upset to say about it. After Mima leaves CHAM! the two singers become more popular and they end up on the best singing group charts."

~Please see my journals on my Cosplay Island account (Leonie Heartilly) for more details on the construction of this costume as well as progress photos~

The dress was joint hand-made between myself and gaming_goddess.

The gloves, stockings and shoes were bought then modified.

I used my own hair the first time I cosplayed her but I plan to get a wig for when I re-wear this costume.

The microphone was borrowed from Frederica_la_Noir but I will get my own at some point.

I first wore this costume at FushiCon 2011. I loved cosplaying with Ria and Freddie but felt that my costume did not fit me well (and some seams came apart whilst dancing) so I am planning on making some adjustments to make it better fitting to my shape and so it is more hard-wearing. My skirt was too long also so this shall be shortened.
Oh and I failed to add Yukiko's beauty spot despite having a make-up test beforehand -_-
