Melfina

Outlaw Star

Last Updated: 01-13-2012

I have been wanting to cosplay Melfina since Outlaw Star was on Toonami in 2001. But I had planned on doing her poncho. Somehow I managed to change over to this. I can wash this in a washing machine or I can hand wash this, but I always lie it flat to dry just to be safe. Its very comfortable.

THE ONLY VIEW OF THE BACK OF THIS COSPLAY CAN BE SEEN IN EPISODE 17 FOR A FEW SECONDS.

I probably wont do a bodysuit ever again.

Base Pink Bodysuit: Kwiksew Pattern 3052
White Sleeves: The shoulder part is the same as on the pink bodysuit, but as you trace out toward the wrists, make it larger that the bodysuit underneath so you have a little bit of sleeve.
White Chest Cover: White cotton broadcloath. All I can say for this is make your own pattern-im not sure what else to say.
Purple designs: Purple Broadcloth. Same as with the chest cover-sketch your own. Its killer, I know it is.
Purple Chest Swirls: Purple Puffy Paint. To get the most perfectish swirls, wear your costume, and trace with a fabric pencil where you want the swirls to appear-keep them as similar as possible.
Shoe Cover: If I didnt have these at the bottom, it would look absolutely ridiculous. On the very bottom of the shoe covers, I sewed elastic across the bottom so it would stay in place better.
Wig: From Ebay
Wings(worn only in masqerade): 9 gauge wire. Then traced over leftover white broadcloth, when I was happy, I dyed them pink. Then hot glue the edges of the fabric onto the wire really well. They slip on with elastic.
