My Maka costume just had its first con debut this weekend at Anime Matsuri in Houston, success! I fixed the sleeve i screwed up and it looks so much better. No damages were done to the scythe (I would have cried ;-;) thank goodness! I received many kind compliments and am greatful for the way this turned out!

*update* I found a good wig to use for Maka since my hair is completely chopped off now. I also made a new skirt that actually has visible pleats in it haha

Scythe: Insulation board and PVC pipe
Jacket: Homemade
Skirt: Custom created fabric and homemade
Boots: Target boots ghetto hacked to be awesome. Used just regular white belts cut and attached with many layers of hot glue. I used a small sander to achieve the small holes along the back side.
