Hetalia: Axis Powers

I was happy with this cosplay for what it was, a last minute job that I was probably and did probably only wear once. That being the only reason this is marked as 100% complete.

I did this cosplay to match my friend's fem!maid!Romano and we got some good pictures I think... she still hasn't given them to me so I don't really know.

In any case it sufficed for the small con and the nightmare of an experience that it was so yeah.

The boots were bought and the pants were jjust an old pair I had laying about in the bottom of my dresser that miraculously still fit, the sash was just a black fashion scarf I have and the vest is store bought as well because I was a stupid lazy @$$ and didn't finish my costume on time. The white shirt I made and am ridiculously proud of, especially how the lace on the sleeve cuffs came out. The coat is all in all a complete disaster but it worked well enough. (seriously, I pulled it out a few weeks ago and looked at it and it is a mess, completely, that material -shudder- I am never working with that type of suiting EVER again.) My friend did the sleeves and cuffs on the coat because otherwise I wouldn't have slept and apparently I was starting to piss everyone off. (I had kind of wanted to leave it as a long vest coat but apparently it would have looked bad. I might tear the sleeves off and try to salvage something of the coat one day but for now I'm happy with the pictures I got of it which make it look about ten times better than it actually turned out.

The hat was a floppy wool hat I bought and formed into the tricorn myself and the detailing on it was bought from a craft store and applied to my taste.

The axe I had from my casual Fem!Spain cosplay and details can be found there as to the construction. For this all I did was repaint the blade and add a wash to the staff.

The gun: probably the part of this cosplay I spent a lot of time on and didn't feel the drag of it. I bought a cheap toy pistol and completely dismantled it. I took out the bits that make the cracking sound and set aside the orange tip to put back on later. gave the whole thing a coat of brown paint and then detailed the whole thing trying to get a decent wood and metal look. I think I did pretty darn well for my first ever attempt. Then I just reassembled the same thing an sulked that I couldn't show it off because I'm not legally allowed to have it on campus.

I was really happy with basically all the parts that don't really matter because the coat should have been the main focus of the cosplay but whatever, IDGAF anymore.
