Ichito

Asaki, Yumemishi

Last Updated: 06-18-2012

One of my dream cosplays, debuted on Saturday at Desucon in Lahti, Finland, held during 8-10 June 2012.

Ichito is the 'bad guy' from a Japan only otome game named Asaki, Yumemishi. It's pretty much obscure and I have a feeling I might be the only person who has ever cosplayed him...
I do own the game myself for PSP although I haven't played it yet because of lack of Japanese skills. I have read some English reviews about it so I do have a general understanding of what it's about and about Ichito's personality, story etc. In short he is an immortal spirit who uses dead bodies to move because of a curse that made him lose his own physical body.. so yeah, in a way HE IS DEAD and that's why his kimonos are reversed.

This cosplay was slightly uncomfortable to wear (even though I love it) and it already has earned several titles from me, like "ultimate everything-falls-off-every-minute cosplay" because it seriously does.. and it's so annoying having to constantly make sure everything is where it should be. xD This costume gave me a semi-nasty headache too when I wore it at Desucon so I had to change during the middle of Saturday to another more chill cosplay, namely my Sunday yukata!Okita cosplay. I wish to wear this to another con after I have fixed some issues *coughlikefeetwrappingscough* and fixed better white make-up.

Everything on this costume is made by me except the wig which is commissioned by Hansku. I started working on this cosplay several months before the planned con but still I ended up stressing and finishing the last pieces the day before departure... the life of a cosplayer. XD
