I really love American McGee's Alice, so when the second one came out, I showed my friends the game and got 'em hooked! From there they decided to do a skit and well, I really wanted to make a creepy monster.
The body itself is made of pool noodles, hoola hoops, various types of tape and hot glue. It was then covered with layers of fabric, and finally coated with a mixture of gloss paint, modge podge, glue and other sprays to give it a wet/oily look. The mask was made of an air dry clay and attached to the main body. The pipes were just some shaped and painted craft foam. For the flames in them, I had wanted to put a tiny fan inside that would make them look like moving fire, but I had to take that method out. Instead they stayed stationary. Also, originally I had feet planned for the body, but didn't add them due to time a lack of space in transportation. (Plus it would make it harder to use for the skit involved)
I didn't have much of a budget for this, but I think I did alright with what I had on hand.
