Herp a derp, Aerith costume version 3. Dress is made out of pink sateen this time, instead of the twill I had been using before. I drafted out the pattern myself, since in the past I've never been entirely happy with the patterns I was using, even after modifications. Bias tape was put on using Taeliac's bias tape tutorial, so it looks really neat (yay!). The jacket is made of deep red microsuede, and modified a commercial pattern to make. Boots are from my last few versions of this costume. The "arm belts" on the jacket are real leather, hand painted by me, then turned into belts by a local cobbler, since I didn't want to risk my sewing machine. The bracers are craft foam covered in wonderflex, and painted using acrylic paint and sealed to keep them from chipping all over the place.
