Final Fantasy IX

I went as Beatrix with my FF9 group.

I had to purchase a wig that I mixed in with my real hair (they are the same colour) to give the full-body look and the large curls.

I spray painted a pair of black heel boots silver.

My friend sewed me a pair of stretchy opaque red tights.

My friend did most of this one for me. Originally it was too small in the chest area and went up too high. I fixed this by adding a white body shaper that went up to under my bust.

Originally a large white belt. It was difficult to find a belt of that size. I painted it brown with a brush. I added craft foam for the buckle and other decails, painted a rusty gold.

Were made by my friend, she bought white gloves, cut the fingers off and added craft foam for the plating. She used craft paint for the gold trimming.

Eye Patch
It was originally made of craft foam and was silver, it was really uncomfortable so we used left over fabric from the cape and produced a white, more comfortable one.

This was very difficult for me as I had never made a prop before. It is made of cardboard, bristolboard, craftfoam, electrical tape, rulers, and styrofoam.

The shaft is styrofoam wrapped in craft foam. Then wrapped in black electrical tape. The bottom is craft foam and spray painted gold. The hilt is made of cardboard on the inside and many layers of craftfoam on the outside, spray painted gold. The blade is made of cardboard an bristol board. It was spray painted silver and the diamonds were glued on (painted ruby red). 4 (12") rulers inside connect the shaft to the blade.
The blade has the same details on both sides.

None, however we did go to the masquerade and had an interesting battle sequence:
