After retiring my first Jane, I decided to redo her so she fit better and was more comfortable. I didn't have too much that I needed to get to finish her off, which was encouraging.
I love when costumes are simple to put together. The only thing that I saved from my original attempt was the black shirt. That part worked. Granted, I would paint the collar not quite so much next time, but it still looks great. The red shirt I already had in my closet. I just roll up the sleeves and it is good to go.
I decided to put a little spin on things and not go for the shorts. It's really hard to find the right length of shorts, let alone with that cuff along the bottom. So I simply bought some short black capris. They're really comfy and I think they look great. The leggings I've had for a while. For boots, I'm going to wear my Rugged Outback Cheyenne boots in black from Payless. I originally bought them for Harry, and they've proved to be very useful, very comfy, boots.
The wig was the biggest investment. It took me a while to decide on which one, but I ended up going with the Buttercup in black from Arda Wigs. It has a permanent part in the right place already. It may be my best wig work yet!
