"Hi! I'm Barnaby, the one with the glasses in Tiger&Bunny."
First off, love, love, love Tiger&Bunny, best show I've seen in a long time. So of course I just had to cosplay it. And it didn't take much to twist the bf's arm into being my precious partner Kotetsu T. Kaburagi, a.k.a Wild Tiger, either!
This costume would have been my most comfortable to date if it hadn't have been for the heat that weekend, whew! Felt like I was going to die in that jacket, jeans and calf-high boots. But I endured it, and I'm so glad I did.
The jacket is made out of vinyl, red and white respectively, with a dark red polyester lining. If I had to change anything it would be that lining, lesson learned! It was static-y as f**k and stuck to my arms on the inside. Next time, just going to go with a nice stretch cotton.
But other than that, made the boot straps out of left-over red vinyl. Top strap has eyelets for the laces to go through to hold it up, and the bottom strap has a band of elastic to keep it in place as well. I was worried about it tearing as I walked on it, but had no problems! Wonderful!
Oh! And my call bracelet was made of craft foam painted with acrylic paints, and had velcro fastening.
Overall, great learning experience (first time altering a pattern and making a jacket!) and had a great time in it as well! I look forward to wearing it more in the future, maybe once T&B gets a little bit bigger in Canada.
