Quick and easy cosplay of Dinah from M Alice Legrow's Bizenghast. This is one of my favourite costumes from the series, mainly because of the skull on her apron.
I found a plum coloured skirt suit in a charity shop, and decided that it was the perfect colour for this dress. I also found a red and white striped shirt: perfect for Dinah's apron.
I reconstructed the shirt into an apron. That was fairly simple: I cut off the shirt under the armpits, and it became the skirt part of the apron. All the left over fabric became the straps, and one sleeves became the top half of the apron.
To make the dress I altered the suit top and sewed it to the skirt. The whole thing fastens with a zip up the back,
Photos were taken at a local cosplay gathering in Mdina (surprisingly few people bothered to turn up in costume) Much thanks to Michelle and Steffi for photographs.
