The Suffering

There's a PS2 game that I like called "The Suffering". It's about a man named Torque, a convict on death row for killing his wife and 2 kids, but he dosen't remember doing it. As soon as he arrives to his death row cell, an earthquake happens and hideous creatures appear all throughout the prison. Now it's up to him to escape the prison.

There's alot of things I like about this game. I like the creature designs and how each creature is a representation of a form of death that occored in the prison. I like how island the prison resides on has a rich history, I like how your actions in the game can determine the game's ending. Overall, it's a great game

This creature is called the Slayer. Slayers are the most common creature you'll find on the island. In the game, they're supposed to be a representation of decapitation, since its head is separated from the body, but held in place by a metallic aparatus. I don't think Slayers are a representation of decapitation, but more a representation of prison violence between the inmates (ie- inmates getting shanked, which would explain the metal blades replacing the arms).

The costume itself is made from 2 30" toy machete blades taped to my arms with PVC tape (it sticks to itself but not the body), PVC tape wrapped around my torso, and a metal dental gag used to keep one's mouth open, a pair of white Tripp shorts and some corn syrup blood in the mouth.
